Zheng Topp, MD

Biography

Dr. Zheng "Zen" Topp is a breast medical oncologist at Providence Cancer Institute. She grew up in the South, trained in internal medicine at the University of Virginia, and did her fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego before practicing at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida, where she also taught as adjunct faculty at MD Anderson in Houston. For Dr. Topp, good oncology care starts with actually knowing her patients — what matters to them, what they're worried about, what their goals are — so they can make decisions that make sense for their own life. At Providence, she works alongside colleagues with access to the latest clinical trials and treatment options. Outside the clinic, she's a devoted wife, a busy mom of three kids and one very geriatric dog, and a loyal Blazers fan. (And yes, her name does sound like the band — she's heard it before.)
