Satyadeep Bhattacharya, MD

Biography

Dr. Satyadeep Bhattacharya, MD, FACS, FASCRS, FIAGES completed his General Surgery Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University in Boston, USA, and his Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Brown University, Providence, USA. He then worked as a Colorectal and General Surgeon at Southern Illinois Healthcare in Carbondale, USA, where he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program at Southern Illinois University. He moved back to Nepal to pursue his dream of developing and providing cutting-edge surgical care in the country. Dr. Bhattacharya is double US Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and currently serves on the International Committee of the ASCRS. He has delivered numerous presentations at regional, national, and international conferences as well as academic institutions in the USA, Nepal and India, and has contributed to peer-reviewed journals. He is currently working as Principal Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Nepal Mediciti, and serves as Medical Director at the newly launched Apollo Cancer Centre, in addition to consulting for other medical institutions. Dr. Bhattacharya also continues to work as a visiting surgeon in the USA.
