Julie Kanter, MD

Biography

Julie Kanter, M.D. is Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and Clinician Scientist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. She is the co-director of the Lifespan Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center. Dr. Kanter has two main research focuses: advancing novel therapies through improved understanding of biology and clinical endpoints and using dissemination and implementation science to improve access to care in sickle cell disease.
