Biography
Dr. Veljovich is a gynecologic oncologist who has been practicing at Providence-Swedish Cancer Institute for over 25 years after relocating from the southeast where he did medical school and residency at UVA and a gyn onc fellowship at UNC. He enjoys teaching residents and fellows, and has a strong interest in offering clinical trials to his patients. In May of 2006 he co-initiated the first robotic surgery program in gynecologic oncology in the Pacific Northwest, and published the first peer-reviewed paper evaluating the robotic platform for endometrial cancer staging surgery. In his free time he enjoys running, watching the Mariners and Seahawks, traveling, and spending time with his family and 13-year-old golden retriever Bentley.
