Chetan Vakkalagadda, MD

Biography

Dr. Chetan Vakkalagadda was born and raised in San Jose, CA. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, then completed his internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Northwestern in Chicago. He moved back to the west coast to Portland, OR, where he has been a thoracic medical oncologist at OHSU for the last 3 years. He is actively engaged in industry and NCI sponsored clinical trials as principal or sub investigator and serves as infusion medical director overseeing implementation of novel therapies such as bispecifics into the clinic. His research interests are in patient reported outcomes and toxicity monitoring in lung cancer. In his spare time he enjoys watching sports and spending time outdoors with his wife and 18 month old daughter.
