Biography
Dr. Greenbaum is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the UNM School of Medicine, specializing in sarcoma, gastrointestinal and peritoneal surface malignancies (PSM). She currently serves as Associate Program Director for the general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, focusing on resident wellness and surgical ergonomics initiatives. Her research focuses on Native American health, cancer screening and intercultural approaches to healthcare, as well as large database research examining surgical outcomes in patients with gastrointestinal and peritoneal malignancies. She is the Program Director of the UNM Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Program, the only cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) program in the state. She currently serves on the Society of Surgical Oncology PSM Disease Site Working Group, the Yale PSM Committee and is a Section Editor for PSM in the journal Surgical Oncology Insight.
